Jumping out of gear ?
A friends STI 03 has started to jump out of 3rd gear mainly when cold.
Anybody have any idea why, or past experiences ?

Have you checked the gearbox oil level? (dipstick is in the engine bay usually by the intercooler).
If thats ok then it sounds a bit more serious and id take it to a dealer (if still warrantied).
Is the car still standard or modified?
