Default stiff gears

i have a 94 wrx import a few weeks ago the gearbox went i got one out of a scrap yard and it's a little stiff changing gears help anyone

Is it the same if you try to select gears when the engine is off, Was it stiff as soon as you changed the box or has this just happened. Did you look to see how much meat there was on the clutch? You havnt nipped up the selector swivel to much have you? Is the clutch draging? How much oil is in the box?

yeah its the same with the engine off, it was when i put t in the car, the clutch is only in it a few months,what do you mean by ''nipped up the selector swivel'' the clutch isn't dragging and the box is justover full with 75w 90 sytrax

I mean the swivel on the end of the selector shaft, did you drift out the pins or did you split the swivel joint? If you broke the swivel did you retighten it to much?

i didn't take it off on my old gearbox the sleeve is like that but the knew one had a sleeve like a 98 one

Not sure what you mean mate, Im not familiar with the linkage on the 98. How is it once warm? It could be worn syncros, is it worse in any specific gears?
