Is your arm worth £9.99?

Precisely! Wherever you get it, get a good quality 75/90 or 80/90 For the sake of 1 litre (with some left over!) why buy unknown quality, the same principle goes for the gearbox (same oil as above) and engine oil.

If your car is a UK turbo, then it doesn't have a LSD. A litre of Castrol Syntrax (Driveline) 75W90 from Halfords will do it, or shop around!

I was advised by Opie oils (regulars on here) to use:

"As a top quality option we would recomend the Silkolene Syn5 75w-90 for both the gearbox and diffs.

An alternative would be the Motul Gear300 75w-90 for the gearbox and the Motul 90pa for the diffs."

Motuls Gear 300 is a fully synthetic option suitable for use in LSDs as found on Subaru models bar the DCCD where 90 PA should then be chosen. Motul also have a semi-synthetic option called Motylgear which can be used in place of the Gear 300.

So which ones are the best options for a v5 Type R? You say 90PA.. Is this Motil 90 PA? Are there any other good options?

Cheers!
