hi im new to owning a subaru i have purchased a n reg imported sti in white (4 door) its has been slightly tuned since the day it came here runnig 340bhp with adjutable boost 8 psi to 21 psi anyhow.......as i was racing a vauxhall nova turbo the other nite the guy said when i was changing gearhe could see a little puff of black smoke not bad! coming out the exhaust my question is...i it anything to worry about the car is in mint condition and everything was tunedproperly i have a blitz turbo timer etc im just a litle worried something is going to go pop,im only a young subaru owner ad have previously owned a 106 gti and 306 gti so im not very knowledgeable with subarus so i bought it as i have come into the money and always wanted 1 i,would be very grateful if sumbody could advise me on this as i say iam a little worried shd i get it checked out?

Well to be honest, we really need the details of everything (previous owner??) to give us an idea of whats going. Black smoke is normally just over-fueling, but it is worth taking it to a scoob specialist to get a pro's view. Details do make a difference!
And bragging about racing Vauxhall Nova's isn't going to help you make new friends on this forum!

considering the nova beat me once i will give him fairplay for it he has spent alot of money to achieve such a race and win!!! the point of the matter is iam till getting black smoke and its doing my head in!!!

Of course its upto the man in question to spend his money where he likes, but why the **** would you waste money on a Nova? Surely there are better "sleeper" cars out there that cost a lot less than what he must have laid out to turbo it.
