Change of oil in gearbox/diff WRX STi 05 DCCD
Hello!
Since itīs seems like no one in Sweden has changed the gearbox/differential-oil in a "new age" STi with DCCD i have to ask the question here.
What oil did you use ? The redline oil has good rumours here and i intend to buy it but i just donīt know which one ? Since there also is a LSD in my car ive been told that i cannot use the same oil as a car without it
Also tell me the experience before and after change of oil in the gearbox.
Kind regards Anders Vikström, North of Sweden

Subaru have specified the same oil for the DCCD version, API GL5 75W90. The only difference is that you should change the oil more frequently, due to the DCCD unit wearing the oil faster.
My gearbox and synchros seem perfectly happy with Mobil 1 SHC, while others recommend the mineral based Castrol Syntrax/Driveline.

Thank you... any one else that has a opinion?
The Motul 300 Gear 75-90 also seems like an option. A little bit more expensive but from what i know Motul makes great oils.
