Angry Refurbed turbo noise

Fitted a refurbed turbo over the weekend on my 97 car and at medium revs I noticed a whistle more than the usual turbo noise.

Then when fully warm and after a couple of short hard runs, it made a noise that I can only describe as sounding like a banshee.

It was on and off for about 3 seconds, but like banshees, it was a noise that fills me with dread.

I have been gentle since - I guess any turbo noise like that is BAD

Won't say who did the work yet, hoping he corrects it free of charge, but if I don't get it sorted I'll warn you off.

Have to put the old one back on I guess

Anyone got a clue how to get the inlet pipe of the TMIC on to the turbo easily, mine's a real pain.

I always did mine with the intercooler unbolted, wiggle it about and don't be shy of using a bit of muscle. can get the whole thing on in a couple of mins with some practise.
