Question Gearbox change ?

Can anyone tell me how hard or easy it is to change a sti gearbox.

Doy:

If you are not a seasoned spanner man then the job can be very hard.
There are several specialists who can do the job depending on where you are.

As an insurance you might want to change the clutch too.

Remove..
Intercooler
Starter motor
clutch release pin
slave cylinder
engine steady
wiring
bell housing bolts
heatshield
downpipe,
raise car........
drain oil
propshaft
gearlinkage
support the box
crossmember
pins out of driveshafts
wedge engine up behind sump,
Pull off box
lever out driveshafts

2 1/2 - 3hrs work with the right tools and equipment

After doing it 3 times, sod it.
