Would filling up with Optimax petrol and putting octane booster in increase the performance of my UK turbo.

Andy, I've always run on SUL and booster on a UK99. Makes a difference IMHO, so I don't see any reason why the same wouldn't be true of Optimax and booster - in fact that is what I am running now.

Matt

What octane booster do you use and at what price?
I have only seen Wynn's and STP in the shops and can not find Millers.

Octane booster in the correct ratio added to Optimax may give a benefit if you have a programmable ecu but Optimax is already 98.6 ron, a UK car's ecu is very unlikely to be able to improve on its settings if you added octane booster. As a matter of curiosity I am checking on that right now, I have always run with SUL (Esso) plus booster, when I started to use Optimax I just kept on adding booster. Currently I am running with Optimax and no booster, so far there has been no detrement and, if anything, the car is running better but I will keep the list posted as and when.

Andy,

Have used in the past Millers from either Scoobymania or Scoobyparts (the latter has on-line ordering), but currently using NF from New Age.

Bob - will be interested to hear your findings.
