Yes I have one on my WR1,they are a work of art its difficult to say if you gain any extra power, but if you have the l/weight pulleys and flywheel it completes the job.

You can't gain power, the engine generates the power. However you would reduce mass and inertia. Must be a pretty costly upgrade?

Complete waste of time.. The diameter of the shaft is too small to warrant the reduction in mass, the turning force required will be almost identicle.. You may see a very very very very teeny tiny gain in how fast the engine revs but not £2000 worth of gain! Save your money for a lightened flywheel and decent viscous LSD read diff.

The point is that if you are trying to build a lightweight car then having lightweight components make all the difference

The CTG carbon prop' shaft costs about £1000.00 inc' vat, and unless you've done everything else to the car, and now you're trying to make it as light as possible, you're wasting your money.

Its neglegable difference, the reduction in weight will only effect off the line performance and the impreza isnt exactly lacking there, on the track it would make sod all difference as the weight is so far below the center of gravity..

But for those that are insanely **** when it comes to weight, yes there is a benefit, but you might want to have your head tested

Surely the weight loss is more with it being a rotational mass?

The other thing is they are supposedly stronger, but until your worried about snapping props, then forget it.
