Default Thrust bearing perhaps on my MY02 Sport

After a bit of searching on here, it sounds as if the thurst bearing has gone on my clutch

When ever the clutch peddle is depressed and reaches the biting point, there is a horrible grinding noise, like the noise you hear if your break pads run down completley.

What do you think, thrust bearing?

It goes into the dealers on Monday

Would I not notice the gears slipping if the clutch was worn?

You got me worried now Only done 3000 miles since I brought it, as a proven Subaru from a main dealer

I'm sure they'll sort it out, and yes, I would expect it to slip if it was that worn.

It may well be the release bearing, which isn't too expensive, but does the need the gearbox removing to fit it.

It's also pretty hard to say just what it is, without actually hearing it.

Apparently its the spiggot bearing This has caused blueing and cracks to the flywheel, Subaru should cover the cost tho Should be back tomorrow! Meanwhile I'm stuck with a 1.5dci Clio
