Question Strange Behaviour

This doesn’t happen all the time but annoying when it does, sometimes when accelerating to overtake the car just losses all power and stutters, this lasts anything upto 10 seconds then it will be fine, it’s as if it’s flooding the engine or something. Has anyone else come across this or anyone got any idea what it could be? The car is a MY00 UK Turbo.

Cheers,

Chris

I guess this happens at around max torque and is quite violent?
Sticking butterfly valve in the turbo is my guess - usually caused by overfilling the engine with too much oil

I was running higher boost on a 01 wrx and if boost spiking occurred the ecu cut out the injectors briefly , possible wastegate stuck or not opening enough ? i used to get it at about 4 to 4500rpm in 5th gear and accelerating , was quite a shock when it did it , lowered boost a bit and was A1 again .
