Default Clutch unwell

Hi. As the name suggests I have a 1999 turbo. The clutch is playing up a bit.
No slippage, but strange feel from the pedal. The resistance seems more (I have to push a bit harder) and the biting point is higher. It has been doing this for a while, normally if I've been queing. Then after a couple of minutes driving, you feel a click from the pedal and it goes back to normal.
This time it's not gone back.
I've checked the cylinder, fluid is just above MAX. It was serviced a couple of months back.
It's only done 12,000 miles, FSH.
Any suggestions?

Thanks, Dave.

Try having the clutch system very well bled after vacating ALL the current fluid and replace/ bleed with at least Dot 5.1 Castrol brake fluid.(not less!)

You may be surprised.
Graham.
