Default DCCD and Oversteer

I was on a track day a few months ago, I was playing round with the diff a little, what diff setting would give the LEAST oversteer? Would be diff free or wound half way up in the Orange light section.

I was on the first orange light and although there was plenty of grip it was quite oversteery.

All the way back, which would give you understeer though you would want the top green as a balance on the road really.

So your saying if there a bit more drive to the front wheels you would get LESS oversteer?

No its the other way around, if you had more drive to the rear you would get less oversteer, all the way back and the car understeers like crazy (good in wide open spaces )

LOL
All the way back into the green gives you understeer, all the way forward (please note, do NOT use lock) will give you oversteer, so rolling it from back to front to the last green is giving you the best of both worlds

I don't know what your on about Tony. The complete opposite from what you said is true.

The car will have less oversteer the more the diff is locked.

With it fully open (bottom green) the car will be more prone to oversteer, as all the drive goes to the rear wheels once the car brakes traction in a corner. The oversteer lessens as the lock on the diff is increased.(orange).

When on track I tend to use second green (in the dry) or first orange(in the wet). I prefer some oversteer to help the car turn through the corner (and for fun).

Who's been on the fuunny weed!

Roller all the way back will give you masshoosive rear wheel action. Moving the roller towards front will make the car more neutral.

Regards,
Shaun.

Be advised that some peoples rollers are installed the wrong way round in the console!

It shouldn't change the light sequence though
