Cool BOOST CONTROLLERS????

Hi,

Recently bought a 1993 Scooby which had an Apexi AVC-R Boost controller fitted but no instructions.

The acceleration is mind blowing as I have been told it runs about 280bhp, but when I get to about 5,500 revs the boost controller (I hope) cuts the revs so I lose power!!!! I have been to the APEXI website in the States and printed out 61 pages of instructions but wanteed to know if the boost controller would also control the revs at the high end as well

Sorry if this sounds thick but I have only ever owned an Audi A6 and a Rover 416i and i am still a very new SCOOBY owner.

Cheers Rob

Sounds like you are hitting boost cut in the ecu rather than the boost controller.. obviously the boost controller is controlling the boost to that level mind.

From the front menu got to Setting.. press next.. should display
Boost : number or ***
Duty: number of ***

I boost is a number then take 0.05bar off it and see if it still does it.
If Boost is *** then select it and press next and you will see a graph.. scroll to 5500 and take 0.05bar off.. you should also check the duty and check the duty is not higher at 5500etc.. you might also stop it by reducing the duty at this point..

Does it cut in every gear?
