Best Induction Kit?
I'm after an Induction kit for my Type-R STi V5.
Whats the best one to go for?
And what sounds best?
Andy Forrest recommended APS Cold Air kits from:
www.g-force-motorsport.co.uk
Anybody got one of these and are they good?
Also, do fitting an induction kit knacker your MAF Sensor?

When I was preparing to have my STI5 Type R remapped (April 05) I asked about this, both Andy F and Bob Rawle recommended I used a K&N based induction kit as that's what they were both using at the time.
A good one is this one from GGR, which uses a big K&N cone and a machined aluminium trumpet which fixes onto the MAF tube.

That's what I want for. Bob warned me that the MAF scaling would probably be a bit out after fitting it, but this wasn't a problem since he was remapping it for me anyway. If you have a knocklink you should be fine.
Regarding the MAF, the MY99/00 MAF used in the STI5 is known to be fragile so if it hasn't been replaced then it's probably best to get a new (improved) one and stick it on. They only cost around £70 from a Subaru dealer, it's the same one as is on a P1 so they usually hold them in stock.

The superceding part has a small green dot tampo printed on it. I wouldnt bother with any intake mods unless your car is producing well over 350BHP. VTA dump valves serve no purpose.
