Question melting coil packs!!

I have a 94wrx and am having a problem with the front drivers side coil pack spliting around the middle.
I have replaced all four coil packs, all plugs, replaced the ignition amplifier and had the ecu given a clean bill of health(gems).
What would cause this to keep overheating and splitting?Im really getting to the end of my teather now!!
