What difference does a service make? Or are you saying you want to use cheap oil as your going to get new next week?

Use a 5w-40 synthetic oil. There are plenty out there and they vary in price.

Mine is at the bottom of the dipstick but its having an oil change in a week or so. Do you think it will be ok if I give it a good thrashing between now and then?

Oh and its got no water either but that shouldnt matter, they will fill that at the service too right?
