Question Gaskets & bolts supplied with Megan headers...

...any good? The gaskets look a bit cr@ppy to me, as do the bolts.

Anyone used them? Any probs? Or is it worth replacing them with original parts?

The head outlet gaskets to the manifold are ok, it's the one that sits under the turbo that you shouldn't use, it's a little flimsey Carl Davey fitted this gasket and within days it was blowing and needed replacing.

I binned the megan gaskets and replaced them with the oe subaru gaskets, before fitting the manifold I opened out the exhaust flanges to match the size of the gaskets and the exhaust ports.

In all honesty that gasket leaked instantly but then my turbine inlet was ported so minimal sealing face. I'd use Subaru ones all round if i were to use them again. I found the bolts ok but had to chop one down to fit underneath the compressor inlet.

I reckon its easily possible to spend the cost of a set of Megan headers again by buying all the crap required to fit them nicely. Thinking wrap, jubilees, paint, gaskets and not to mention labour if you're too lazy to do them yourself.
