Default Turbo rebuilt?

I have a MY96 wagon. The high frequency sound of the turbo becomes louder and louder. Is the bush of the turbo shaft being worn out?

Is there any way to repair/rebuild the turbo? Or a total replacement is required?

I believe mine is a TD-04, is there any substitute? My car is already 8 years old and I think I cannot invest a lot in a new turbo.

if it an import it will have a td 04 and a td 05 if it is a uk model. you should be able to buy either from a scrapyard for about £200

Thanks.

I've heard that the MY96's turbo intake turns 90 degrees, while the new model are with straight intake. Is there any way to fit the newer turbos to MY96?
