Default 1997 ukturbo Rear wheel drive?

My car seems to have more torque at the rear wheels i have noticed lately that it seems very twitchy on the rear is the differential on the front of my car on its way out? i did a test on works car park revved it till about 4000 rpm and let the clutch out my work mate said my cars rear end dropped down and the rear wheels spun the front ones did not i would be glad if i can sort this out the suspension on the rear is softer than the front obviosly the weight of the engine is making it hard at the front

Not quite sure about the dynamics of this drop clutch test...

But as far as I know on 97MY turbo 2000 you have a viscous coupling in the centre and LSD in the rear axle but not in the front.

With this configuration you could end up with one front wheel not being driven. In the STi you would have a front LSD also...

Hope this helps
