Which UK Scoob had the strongest gearbox?
I am going to replace my gearbox, but I want to fit one that's not gonna fall apart in 5 mins. I don't rag my car at all really, and it's only running about 240BHP, so, Is a standard MY00 uk gearbox still ok, or will a UK300 or an STI UK box be better???? Any thoughts??
Cheers

Peanuts, how much u want for the UK box?
Could really do with a broken 99/00UK box to build new gear kit into, just need casing, 5th gear and diffs.
But might just buy a workin one if the price is right.
PM if u like
Dan.

You can have mine, rattles in every gear, and at least tow teeth missing from fifth. Rebuild coming after the NBO.

I have a MY00 Uk turbo box fitted to a 97 UK running 380bhp and thus far I haven't had an issue (touch wood).
I overfill the gearbox oil though by about 1/2 litre past the max mark to make sure 3rd gear gets well coated.
Hope that gives you some comfort.
