Question Exhaust hangers - difference between classic / newage

Thinking of changing my back box again - just wondered what the difference is in the hangers - and if easy enough to mod a newage exhaust hangers to fit a classic.
Is it the end hangers or mid one thats different ?

[ Always seems to be for a new age when someones selling the model I want ]

The single front bracket is different , it points the opposite way on the new age.

magnex and scoobysport don't fit front bracket so either make will fit. also its not that hard to have bracket removed and relocated the correct way. you just need to have someone to weld it back on.

Cheers guys - I was hoping it was the front one - easier to move !

BTW - I have a Magnex at the mo and that does have all three hangers [ quite old - 3 1/2'' round pipe ]

It is not advisable to remove the front bracket totally as it puts undue stress and load on the rest of the system, the manufacter put it there original for a reason.

Apart from this front bracket on the backbox, if you have a full system on a classic will it go on a new age - ie downpipe, centre and backbox? I have a custom system that clears a six speed gearbox.

John apart from the back box the rest of the system is different lengths, classic > new-age.............however if you use all of one sytem type then it will fit the other and vice versa.................
