Anyone used HKS or Cusco twin clutch?
Hi all
just wondered if anyone has tried either the HKS twin clutch kit or the cusco twin clutch kit (both come with new lighter flywheel) and whether they are any good or not.
Not too bothered about the price and what im using it for, just want a clutch that can take some welly at the lights etc and not be nakered every 6-12 months.
Thanks in advance.

I use the twin HKS, excellent for launching but generally these clutches will not last as long as an organic plate, assuming the organic is correctly rated for the engine.

andy f thanks for the reply
the hks and i know for sure the cusco is ceramic, i thought that would be harder wearing than the organic espeially as there are no rivets etc on the clutch with the ceramic.
Its just that i have found a jap site which sells racing parts for scoobs, evo's skylines and are items like hks, cusco, jun and loads others and the prices are i'm afraid to say far better than here - including the delivery charge.
So andy - am i better getting a single or twin clutch kit? organic or cermaic? as i say i like the lights so i dont want to burn it out in a month or so.
cheers

You may be surprised at the prices you can get in the UK for such things. Also expect to pay about £120 for a clutch delivered from japan, and don't expect masses of support if things go wrong.

pavlo, daft as it sounds it goes on weight and the clutch price is about 80 to 100 so yeh not cheap on a 5-7 working day delivery.
anyways where are the decent clutch prices over here then? the cusco twin i have seen for just shy of 1,400 and the hks nearly 1,500. they include the flywhell etc and bearing. Where as on this site they are approx 500 cheaper - that kinda pays for the delivery and save a wad of cash in my eyes. but if there are good deals over here on clutches like that please tell me where - obviously i would prefer to buy in britain but the prices are daft here afaik!
