Default Is there a oil level plug on my g box

need to find out if my gearbox oil level is low. becouse my gearbox is make some really bad sounds. it sti 99. can some one tell me which is the level plug is. if it has one that is? thank you

To check the gearbox level try using the dipstick that's sat near the turbo.

If your gearbox dipstick has a blue plastic bit on it
it takes 3 1/2 litres if
it's pink it takes 3 3/4 litres

i cant find this dipstick for the life of me . its not on turbo side. do all impreza's box's have dipsticks. its a my 99 sti type r (import)

If you look slighlty to the o/s of the intercooler and backwards a bit, you will see the top of the dip stick, not the easiest thing to find. But once you know where to find it .....
Filling it is a different matter !! bit of hose on to the bottom of a funnel works a treat.
