Hi all,

A friend as asked me to find out if he will benefit from the ppp package on his UK STi 54reg .. He has been quoted at £2000.00 and was told it includes centre section, back box , fuel pump and remap... he was wondering why would it include a back box?, as STi's come with sti box as standard. they told him they guarantee 300bhp with this package.. does that sound about right from your past experiences?

I did tell him that it may be better to wait for the warranty to end and then get himself a decat system, plus other bits and tek3 as the PPP ECU is not tweak'able for any future mods (is that correct)

I have a 54 plate sti with ppp consists of replacement ecu, prodrive centre section and back box and uprated fuel pump official figure of 305 bhp.This is the only upgrade that retains the waranty.After the conversion it makes a standard sti it feel slow.

I believe the PPP ECU is tweakable as it's just a standard ecu with the prodrive map on instead of the factory version. However most people advise selling the PPP ecu as it has a value and getting a replacement and getting a TEK3 map on it along with a decat etc..

The package also includes a replacement Hi Flo cat. downpipe on the STi's.

The centre section isn't changed on the STI PPP, only the downpipe & the backbox.
