Question Noise from fuel pipes

I have a 99 Impreza Turbo which i have just purchased from a local subaru dealer. I get a noise coming from the passenger side which sounds like the fan/air con is on but neither are . The guy at the dealership said it sounded as if it was the fuel lines and there was nothing they could do as it was something that was not uncommon. I prevoiusly owed a 96 plate turbo but never had the issue. has anyone experienced the same problem. Is there a solution as i only hear when idling.

I very much doubt it's the fuel lines you can hear.

There not really much in the passenger side to hear that sounds like a fan. Are you sure it isn't actually the blower itself?

The ECU is in the footwell, this is buzzing or humming or anything?

When I fitted a roll cage to my RA I found the fuel feed pipe and the return pipe ran ontop of the passenges sill, if you lift the plastic tread plates the carpet can be lifted and you can see them, wrap them in foam or something if you don't want to hear how much fuel you are using !!!!!

It definately isn't a buzz or hum from the ECU - When u turn off the ignition and then turn it on you get like a noise like a fuel whoosh it then goes silent then u start and you then get this noise like a blower but it definately isn't the blower
