Hi

There seem to be a few reasons why this happens.

First, is the return spring that sits under the intercooler still in place and in tension? This can break off and that can lead to the lack of pedal return.

Air seems to get caught in the system even when you think it's bled OK. Not sure if bleeding the 'scoob clutch is unusually tricky, but I found I good guide for bleeding the clutch here:

http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/dow...CLUTCH_HOSE.pdf Subaru of Americas official guide.

and also at

http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com

Some people have reported holding the slave closed while you bleed the system and then doing a normal bleed procedure can stop the pedal problem.

Hope that helps, and good luck.

Mike
