Idle issue any ideas please !!!!
Hi Guys
Just been to the shop to get a few beers to watch the footie, started the car back up on leaving the shop drove aproxx 500yrds to the next junction and the revs dipped went back up to 750 rpm then dipped again to just above 0 rpm and the car stalled....
Any ideas on what the problem is
Russ

Yup, as above comments. Could be either MAF or Lambda. If you can hook up a Subaru select monitor, or Deltadash, or SECS monitor, you should be able to see if the Lambda is dead from the voltage it's producing (or not).
I've had 2 lambda's die in the past. One caused the car to go into 'limp home mode', the other died quietly without flagging up an error but was reading 0v everywhere.
MAF failures don't usually cause a 'check engine' light, but can sometimes be picked up if you have a Knocklink or AFR meter fitted, as the car usually runs lean when the MAF fails.
