Default Possible MAF problem???

Hi all

MY00 (NON-TURBO 2.0)has developed a problem between 3 and 4k in the shape of lack of power feels like its holding back??, after 4k it picks up again as it should do. Reading the forums it does seem that this could be a MAF sensor problem(no check engine light) only started after the last service, the car is still under the Subaru warrenty should I take it in for a check-up.

Cheers for any advice.
