Anyone had a VF28/24/29 ECUTEK mapped at PE recently
Going to book mine in soon to be remapped.
Car is a MY00 UK with Full decat, STi Panel and was running 1.2bar (dropping to 1bar) on the TD04 on an ECUTEK ECU.
Getting it remapped to adjust the boost control for the VF28 and make whatever adjusments are needed on the Fuel/Ignition side. Although running the Dawes at 1.2bar at the moment and AFR and Knock seem to be under control.
I'm sure they will have a similar base map on file they can apply/work with, but it would be nice if anyone of here has something similar to my spec that I could refer them too....
I expect a P1 ot STi 5 map would be similar, although they may need to pull a bit of timing out due to the different bottom ends.
Hopefully this will push it to 310BHP and about 285lb/ft.
P.S Not sure whether to fit a 255ltr pump and Reg yet...as am not sure if it will be of any advantage at this level of power. Car has only done 31,000miles so hopefully the standard pump will be fine........

Fit the pump but leave the reg unless you fit an SX, there really is no need to deviate from stock fuel pressure at your level. You can't apply STi level maps to a Eurospec car, you will blow the engine, in respect of ignition timing. and the hidden fuel base algorythms are totaly different.

cheers Bob, I won't ask em' to put a P1 map in then
I'm sure they will have something suitable.
As mentioned, it's TEK'd already (By Mervyn) and seems OK at 1.2 BAR. It may just be case of setting the boost target and duty control for the VF28, then a little fettle of the fuel/ignition at the top end....

That should do the trick but more needed than just the top end, although Merv does not work for Power Engineering now but EcuTek and I can't see them breaking their commitment to us remappers not to map cars. Think Chris does the mapping for PE.

I'd get them to map it safe to the limit of the boost on the turbo. (is this around 1.4bar on a vf28?) That way, should you feel tempted to increase the boost a little in the future, you will not be at risk of running into load zones that aren't mapped for correctly, hopefully minimising the risk to your engine.
Cheers
