Default Max safe boost on current map?

I have a UK MY97 with the following engine spec:

TD05/06 -20g.
Apexi Power FC ECU, Mapped by Andy F.
Hybrid FMIC.
Full 2.5" decat.
GT Spec Gen II headers and up-pipe.
550cc injectors.
Walbro fuel pump.
FSE fuel pressure regulator.
K&N Induction kit.
Samco turbo inlet hose.
Greddy Profec e-01 boost controller.
Forge VTA dump valve.

It was last dyno'd (before I fitted the Samco inlet hose) at 346bhp at 1.3bar, but just 281lbft of torque due to spool up issues which are believed to be cam-timing related. Cams are set to factory timing marks, but cam-timing is the only explanation left for the spool issue.

Anyway, untill I can get the cam timing checked/sorted I want to know if it would be safe to run more boost on my current map, to maybe give me around 300lbft of torque? How much more boost would I be able to run on my current map? Would adjusting the reg to give me a bit more fuel pressure make running more boost safer on my current map?

expect someone with more knowledge than myself will answe shortly, but may i suggest you invest in a knocklink first to monitor any det, then slowly turn the boost controller up whilst monitoring?

Already have a knocklink and AFR meter, the Power FC also monitors for det and flashes the CEL when it goes above a certian level.

I was going to do exactly what you suggest, but I would like some opinions as to weather it's a good idea to be playing with the boost when it's only mapped for 1.3bar. Although in all fairness I have seen up to 1.39bar with no knocklink activity atall. Andy F = mapping God
