Ask Bob.

What other mods do you have to warrant a VF35? Headers are well worth the money, make sure you wrap them. Really you need to decat the car to 3" and upgrade the pump also to get the best from the turbo IMHO.

You'll have to port the wastegate, otherwise you'll get boostcreep.
A dealer should do this in less then 2 hours if all the stuff comes lose

3" decat or 2.5"?

Only thing I would say is that your IC might limit you from bigger power figures. Im in the same boat on my STi5, and probably going for an HKS FMIC.

Boost creep is where it "creeps" up at peak, which isn't ideal if you've mapped the car for a lower max boost.

Just realised you're on a V35 rather than 34...

porting the wastegate hole is quiet simple. If you don't do that you get boost spike of 1.6bar at 6000rpm. Can't imagine you want that. With a VF35 on 1.25bar you'll get approx. 330bhp. Porting is just making the hole a little bigger, make sure you won't go to big. Dremel will do

if they change the turbo for you, then it's easy to do it all at once.
but if you're looking for just 300bhp i wouldn't go for a different exhaustheader.
The only benefit is power and torque in middrange but decrease's spoolup

Seen it stated on here several time by several different knowledgeable and experienced people that a 2.5" de-cat exhaust will not cause any restriction below about 360 - 380 bhp. And when you are looking for high 200s to low 300s a 3" exhaust will likely hurt your low end torque, so the 2.5" will be spot on for the vf35.

Wont cause a restriction, but 3" respond very well with the VF series from what I can work out. I was advised this on 22B and by another reputed tuner. But agreed its more for the people aiming for high up ower.

Not saying a 2.5 will be a problem in any way, so don't let that stop you.
