Default WOULD APPRECIATE ADVICE. PLEASE

Hi,

i decide ( through pure necessity ) to sell my impreza wrx v-limited ( gutted ) and got it all poilished and looking great for the auto-trader photograph.
That night after spending £100 to adverise it ( wednesday ( i went for a little run, not a blast, when i selected reverse the car set off as it normally does until i tried to get out of reverse !!! it,s stuck.
I still have a perfect clutch which allows me to reverse if out and free wheel if engaged, the car gave no hint,s or clues as the gearbox has always been lovely, quiet and smooth.
My car is a 1995, 50,000 miles. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as the local garages are not keen to look at the car.
I need the car fixed asap
Thanks

John, you need a specialist to trust.

1 Call David at www.apiengines.co.uk
2 Do a search on Drivetrain for Stockcar, he knows gearboxes
3 Do a search on here for Rally Colin, as (2) above.

Hi guys,

things just got worse, the local garage has removed the box and sent it to a specialist who says another rebuild is required !!! can you tell me ? would i not have noticed any symptoms before this occured, the car drove lovely and had a smooth tight gear change.
I would appreciate anyones thoughts or advice, not sure wether they are at it or genuine.

Thanks
