Noise when changing gears...
I have a MY95 WRX that seems to have a gear-related problem.
When changing gears above 30mph I can hear a whining noise. There is no noticible change in the feel of the gear. It only makes the noise when it is going out of gear and just as it goes into the new gear.
Also, when in gear, if I pull (or push) the gear stick further (e.g. pull the sticj down when already in 4th) then I can hear the noise again.
Does anybody know what is causing this?
(and more importantly, how much am I going to get shafted to fix it!?)
Thanks.
