Dave used to have one on MY04 not to loud but a good burble, had to swap because of PPP (which doesn't sound as good imho). Do it you wont regret it, takes about 4 weeks of having it fitted to get that deep down burble.

Buy one. You won't regret it.
Bought mine about 7 months ago, along with a de-cat downpipe. The backbox alone makes a much better noise than either the standard twinpipe or the prodrive b'boxes - not much louder (really, very little difference in dB), just sweeter. Add to that the small matter of it being beautifully put together, plus the fact that it looks fuggin stunning on the car, multiplied by the stupidly long guarantee, you can't really go wrong.
I can't fault it. I love it.

Guys
Just bought a MY03 and coming from a MY99 with Scoobysport backbox the new car sounds very tame. Is the SSBB still the best unit in your opinion?
Thanks

Is it what it says it is on the tin

A possible word of warning with ref to previous SSBB and the current SSBB. I used to have SSBB on my RB5 and was looking to put the same on my current STi. Found out at the time that Hayward & Scott were the suppliers of the original SSBB but since SS changed hands they are now not the current suppliers. Tried to clarify this point with SS but e-mails went unanswered. Contacted H & S and I am now running a standard noise H & S box with a 4" rolled in tail pipe. It does do what the old SSBB used to do, noise e.t.c. I cant comment on the current SSBB as I have not heard one. I am also open for flaming to a crisp if I am talking out my other hole.

Thanks for the heads-up. Is this the unit that's based on my old ScoobySport one then?

I always enjoyed the nice balance the ScoobySport unit had between being too loud and too quiet.
Thanks

Otto,
That looks very much like it, but the standard one they supply is a 3.5" tail pipe but if you phone them up they will talk through what you want and build it for you. I went for a 4" tail as I wanted something slightly bigger than the STi standard box tail.
