Default power of my 2.5

hi been away for a while due to my my00 uk classic scoob suffering some serious problems
but now it is back or it will be tommorrow
but the big question is how much power has it got originally it had a hybrid vf24, upipe, downpipe, afterburner exhaust, ecutec3, it ran a 12.8 1/4 at the pod i estimated it had 310 bhp
well now it has a 6 speed 2.5 block with uk heads a harvey smith front mount it has been mapped to 1.1-1.2 boost
so any estimates on power and also is 1.1 to 1.2 boost the norm on the 2.5 as i had my 2.0 mapped to 1.4 boost dose this mean the 2.5 is not as strong as the 2.0 strange as i thought the oppisite
i seem a little confused and a little disapointed or hugely disapointed as my engine builder sais i should have app. 310-320bhp hardly any difference to before allthough my bank balance is big time down
thanks xsoooby

What does your bum dyno tell you? Does it feel faster and more responsive? What a rolling road tells you doesn't matter - it's how the car drives on the road that counts.

i have not got the car back yet i am getting it back tommorrow it is just what my engine builder tells me
so maybe i am jumping the gun it is just that the engineer told me when i first i had the work started i would be getting 350-360 without the front mount and now it is only 310-320 with the front mount it seems very very strange
i would love to know what boost others are running with same spec as mine also as i was expecting high 300s i had a 6speed fitted and so if it is as good as same power have i fitted the box for nothing
as you probably can tell i am a liitle hugely humungasley disapointed if what i am being told is true as car off the road for 6 months £5200 when i could of spent £1600 and got virtuallyt the same

1.4 bar on your two litre is about right.Depending on your mods??????
On a two and a half you don't need as much boost to produce higher figures because of the bigger capacity.
The first power quote you had, (350bhp) at 1.1/1.2 bar I would say is about right for the 2.5 lump. With the mods you have.

I also have the 2.5 conversion, but with different mods. Bigger turbo, 550cc,front mount, etc etc......................I had the car mapped on my gems unit by Steve Simpson (highly recommended) up to 1.32 bar.
He guessed I was around the 400bhp/400lbs mark, which is exactly what I wanted power wise, as mine is a daily driver
Hope this helps, any other questions just ask
Kevin.

Dont expect loads more power for the same boost on the 2.5, torque is the increase factor to think about.

I wouldnt expect a 40-50hp gain from the same boost on a 2.5

It all depends on the turbo and associated components.Done approx 10 of these conversions now and from failing memory (age?) the best was 438BHP/429 ft lb with VVT Sti8 heads and APS SR50 turbo etc.Typical has been 400 BHP/400 ft lb with a suitable turbo (SR 40/One of Bob's etc). This at 1.4 bar peak and 1.2-1.3 bar held.G- force have dyno plots for the avid reader.

2.5 conversion needs extra work to be able to make any noticeable (sustantial) incresaes in torque and power.

With Turbo, ECU and other mods, it should walk 400/400 quite easily.

JGM, was that the one from down south of London, the guy sold it straight after having the conversion done?
If yes, what do you want to know about it?
