Parallel fuel rail mod - positioning of T pieces

Parallel fuel rail mod - positioning of T pieces
I'm going to carry out the parallel fuel rail mod and am wondering about the positioning of the T pieces under the passenger side of the manifold as recommended here http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com when placing them under the centre of the manifold would give more even pipe lengths so more even fuel distribution. Does it make enough difference to matter?

Tonight I started doing the exact same thing.
I've taken my inlet manifold off to do the job and a few others, pic here where i put my first Tee:
The engine is an Sti v3 incase you needed to know!
I will detail the rest of the 'conversion' in my Project thread.
Good luck!

I would also have removed as much of the hard piping as poss too, especially if you are fitting a samco inlet pipe.
Also scrap the purge valve and associating pipework/carbon canistor.

Getting the old inlet pipe out was pratting about last night...how do people change to Samco with the inlet in place?
While you are both looking at my 'progress' I need to get quickly a replacement inlet pipe but the TD 05 inlet dia is 60 mm and the stock STi turbo is 50mm. Can you get a Samco with the stock design for the DV return etc but with the 60mm dia for the TD05?
If so, where from? I cannot imagine the Samco @ 50mm stretching over the 60mm dia TD inlet.
If not, how have all the others who have fitted TD 05's managed?
Graham.

I wasn't aware of Graham's thread in 'Projects' until reading replies here so I've read that (dunno how I missed it in the first place) and picked up a good deal of information there as we're doing basically the same thing except that I've already changed my turbo and had my PFC mapped by Andy. I used a VF23 and it's too small - I got 305bhp and 285 Lb/ft when a td05 would have given me a bit more so I'm saving up again...
Meanwhile, I've managed to track down somebody who can powder coat my spare manifold for some added bling
A suggestion for those wanting to fit an oil catch can but grudge paying silly prices....I got a polished stainless steel can with lid (meant for coffee/tea/biccies/etc) for 89p at a local bargain shop. Three holes, a couple of elbows and some tubing later I have a natty looking set-up for less than a fiver
