Default 2002 wrx TMIC

would this be a decent upgrade for a 97 wrx which will have a td05 fitted early next year?

will be fitting a larger scoop on the bonnet to feed it enough fresh air

What power you after running?

TBH go for the STI8 intercooler for the extra cost. I reckon the WRX TMIC will flow enough to 320-330bhp though.

Love the paintjob on the car. Looks superb.

Jon.

I was advised by Bob Rawle and John Banks that to get the best out of the TD05 that a STi intercooler was recommended......

I'm now running my TD05 with my old WRX intercooler while I get my FMIC sorted and it's all wrong !!

in first and second I don't notice a difference but in third and forth while overtaking on the A69 ......................Pants !!

i also got an sti8 IC from ireland pretty damn cheap.....140 to be presise....delivered, its euro auto salvage, look them up on google and youll get it. If you can handle the crap service and zero communication youll get a very decent part, mine was virtualy brand new!

Mine came from the same Irish breakers, £200 all in.
Few words, but rapid delivery!
Sti8 into Stiv3 Facelift is NOT a bolt in job, but the butchery is nothing compared to a FMIC.
If interested, look at 911's project thread....
