Default import legacy twin turbo help plz??

the car is import legacy think its 2.5 or 2 litre and its twin turbo, auto.

will try to explain problem first...

drivin fine on moterway put your foot down and there a massive flat spot between 3-4 k pull through that and let the revs rise after approx 5k most times engine will stop revving throttle will do nuthin and engine light appears... turn off then start all ok but same will happen again in same circumstances.. seems as if boost cuts off like a safty feature too much boost it cuts. or possible fuel prob but unsure how that could affect...

2 different places have told me the fault code is "66" and have searched for info on this and found sum things but thought i would throw it open to scooby net as im told you lot are good for answers

any help apriciated thanks Ric.

It will be a 2.0 Twin Turbo.

What year is it mate?

There is always a slight flat spot on the TT Legacy often called the Valley of Death or VOD. But this seems like the ECU is in safe mode.

Are you running any boost controllers etc?

Are you sure it is code 66? Can't find any information on that code.

Flat spot between 3 and 4k is normal on the GTB twin turbo's - mine does this and yes it's fairly dramatic. There is another GTB post where I linked in my rolling road map which clearly shows the dip. Can't help on the other problem though - like to see the answer though..

Ah right code 66 is basically a fault code saying the car is in overboost. Pointing at boost control issues.

So do you have any boost controllers etc?

Jon.

There was a bit of discussion on code 66 on here a while ago...

Also plenty of TT owners here..
