bloody exhaust hangers!
yup you guessed it- the salt on the roads and quite a few *cold* brrrrr starts has resulted in one of the hangers coming away from the pipe and now a nice £2 coin sized hole exists with a fecking great leak..
any ideas if it's worth my while to ask H+S to do me a replacement Stainless Steel pipe? or might I just as well bin it?
****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember some time about 18months back when I was @ TSL that MaTTel had a similar problem with his HKS...
Trouser sold him another entire exhaust IIRC ..
/wooden spoon away

any thoughts on if this could have been caused by a MASSIVE pothole I hit recently on the OS - the OS front alloy is buckled on the inside edge by it!!
damn dark country lanes and no decent road fixing policy

That will weld
If a muppet can be sold an exhaust because of a little hole then good luck to em but i would get that welded
It looks to me as the weld that holds the hanger in place has failed i have it done several times on exhausts and doea not cause a prob
re the pot hole lets just say it probably help with the failing of the weld oh and it should cost no more than a tenner to do if it stainless steel

Using Mattel & TSL as an example is like using Posh Spice & GUCCI - they don't need any excuse to part company with their cash.
Just weld the ****** as suggested

Hope sorted soon..
Seen an Apexi with similar on the hanger connected to the silencer.. H&S sorted that one out.

In fact when it was taken off the car I has a look at it was personally responsible for increaing the hole by a good six inches in length.
The pipe was pitted and paper thin.
Graham and Trouser both tried to sell me a MY01+ exhaust system that has come of Graham's car at a reduced price.
It was my own insanity that took hold and went for the full new system, new fuel pump and ECUTek remap...
It was the second time a hanger on the HKS had failed some months ealier the hanger on the back box gave way... later models came with extra support at that point!
