Has anybody else had this experiance ? Just checked the oil level on my MY04 Scoob and it is'nt even touching the dipstick never mind between the min and max mark !!!!! Car has done 5500 miles does it need to go back to the dealers ? Even though i have warranty i'm worried about the consumption ! Checked it about two months ago and it was fine !

There is oil in there (4 litres before it'll even reach the dipstick).
Would report the usage to the dealer as a matter of routine - then at least your covered
New engines do use alot of oil when new...if it's using more than 1 pint per 6months/6K after 10K+ miles I'd start to worry.

From new they do consume a fair amount of oil.
My MY03 WRX constantly needed topping up till it had done about 10k miles. Thereafter is should start getting better.
Would suggest you check level every 1-2 weeks.
