Which NGK spark plugs?
Hi.
I've been reading some threads here at Scoobynet about the recommended spark plugs, but still have a few doubts.
I have an MY99, with an Sti panel filter and full decat. I plan on increasing the boost in the near future to about 1.1-1.15 bar. From what I was able to gather, it's preferable to go with PFR7B's instead of the more standard PFR6B's, even on a lightly modified car such as mine. Is that correct? I mean, are there any downsides on going with 7's instead of 6's?
Also, a friend suggested some NGK iridium plugs. More precisely BKR6EIX or BKR7EIX. Again, are there any advantages/disadvantages on choosing these over the platinum ones?
With regards to plug gap, i read here that people tend to go with 0.6 or 0.7. Which one is advised?
Cheers,
Paulo
