Hi,

Just wanted to know from all those that have an Oil pressure guage if this is normal.......

Idling when hot....seems to hold at about just over 2 bar with the odd flicker....a slight dab at the accelarator and the needle shoots up to 6 bar and when i am driving it reads between 6 and 7 bar...and flickering all the time....come to a junction off the accelarator and it shoots down to 2+ bar...the needle is very unstable. I am not sure if this is working properly, would like
some feed back from others who have fitted....

mine is 6.8 bar... all the time, can flicker between 6.7 and 6.8 when cold


otherwise its just a steady 6.8 bar

The needle shoud not flicker. At idle you may see a small amount of movement but it should hold pretty steady at higher revs. The pressure is engine revs related, so the figures you quote seem fine except for the "off accelerator" bit - if the revs are still above say 3000, the pressure should still be at a high value. Anything above idle should show more than 2bar.
