Question Help!! Oil leak - don't know where from

Hi

My STI 3 has started to leak oil (or some other fluid) in very small quantities but only when the engine is running. I think it is seeping/dripping onto the exhaust manifold branch in front of the engine below the PAS pump but higher than the oil filter. The fluid is oily (not coolant) and the PAS fluid level is unchanged so I presume it's engine oil (level still acceptable). When it lands on the hot exhaust there's a smell when in traffic (not noticeable at higher speeds). There's a plate below the exhaust with 3 tiny holes in - it must be directly above that?

Any ideas please?

Sounds like the rocker cover gasket, my old wrx , done the same ,it would drip down onto the exhaust,
think its a common problem and cost me about £80 to get it sorted

So that's 3 for a gasket and 1 each for the others. Seriously, thanks for the suggestions. I plan to remove the air box and try and pinpoint the leak, although as the PAS fluid is still at the same level I suspect it's engine oil. I'm told that a gasket kit is about £50 and it could be a DIY job.

Strangely the PAS fluid on my Discovery needs topping up!
