Default "wap" noise

hi,
lately while driving the scoob i get a "wap" noise when i take my foot off to change gear over 4500rpm.sounds like car is taking a breath.took off the bailey d/v,put the standard d/v back on still the same.took off the induction kit and tightened up the intercooler pipe.noise gone. could it have been the loose pipe on i/c? (the large one) or was it a combination of all 3?it is a my99 uk turbo.
it did seem to lose a little power when the noise was occuring.
