Bob, do you feel you really need to change the solenoid?
Many seem to think it is a 'must'. Exactly what benefits are there, remember i now have the TD05 FE 20g to go on with headers.

Post 10. Plug needs minor modification.
You'll need some hose as well (is there and echo ) if the ports on your TD05 are larger than the TD04 ones like mine were.

3. locate car (Subaru Impreza)
4. unlock car
5. pop bonnet
6. open and prop bonnet (using bonnet stay)
7. locate 2-port solenoid (mounted on the front of o/s suspension turret)
8. disconnect two rubber hoses from OE solenoid
4. remove same two rubber hoses from car altogether
5. unplug sol. electrically
6. take sip of tea (if cool enough)
7. remove 2 nuts securing sol to backing plate
8. put nuts in a safe place
9. remove sol from backing plate
10. trial fit sol electrical plug to see where it needs modification
11. modify plug appropriately
12. mount 3-port sol on backing plate (using same nuts you removed earlier)
13. take bigger sip of tea (should be cooler by now)
14. cut appropriate length of hose to connect bottom port to air inlet
15. connect bottom port to air inlet
16. cut appropriate length of hose to connect middle port to turbo actuator
17. connect middle port to turbo actuator
18. cut appropriate length of hose to connect top port to turbo outlet
19. connect top port to turbo outlet
20. stand back and admire handywork
21. finish tea
22. close bonnet
23. lock car
24. wait for remap
25. put empty cup in dishwasher
