ecu question my94wrx swap 4 my96 z4 ecu

I have read a few treads on here about upgrading an my94wrx ecu to a my96wrx ecu, people have said its a straight swap (plug in and play). Spoke to subaru specialist today, and he says wont work. Has anybody actually done this? any help much appreciated .

much better fuel/ignition map for UK fuel too and 12.7psi instead of 11.47psi.
agree with comment above regarding the specialist

great wondered what i had in my 95 wrx import e.c.u wise??

it`s a z4!

is this good?? or not???

the Z4 is in my opinion the best standard ECU for the pre-96 cars

Cheers guys for your help, just trying to gain some more power,if it gives me an extra 20 ish bhp car should be around 280bhp. Had it rolling roaded last week at 260bhp so should be good.
