Unfortunately the STi1's were given teh same chassis code as the wrx so you will have no luck there..

Only version two onwards had the red manifold.

Your car should have, sti seats, intercooler waterspray, silver intercooler, and some other bits i cant remember.. i will pointmy best mate this way as he has an STi1.

Ken, engine is EJ20G IIRC on all models up to 96 and the gearboxs are the same.

Engine and gearbox ID should be different but all EJ20's up to 96 are the same code

I may stand corrected on the gearbox.... my lesson for the day..

However, i have a ver1 sti engine and a wrx engine and they have identical codes.

Maybe version 2 red top sti engines had different codes?

chrissy, The 'applied model code' on the VIN tag will tell you EXACTLY which car you have, even the number of doors it ought to have !! There is a site in the SIDC forum that l'm sure that someone will link you to [ way beyond my skills ] which lists them all up to 2001 If I remember.

Otherwise post up the applied code on here and we'll tell you what you are supposed to own. The red paint on the manifolds peels off really easily and it may just be that yours is worse than normal and after a steam clean it's got washed away.
