u8 ecu replacement
HI guys,i have a 93 jdm wrx with full de cat and a super chip add on,,dyno at 270 bhp, i have a u8 ecu but was wondering if i can slot in a z4 ecu and bin the super chip...and what probs i might get if any or is it not worth the hassle!!any idea's would be welcome ..thanks fella's

all the super chip is is a bleed valve and a fuel cut defender.
not the best thing to use on a ecu already at its limits on uk fuel.
a Z4 is a good replacement as the map is much better ( almost the same as the prodrive map for the uk car)
standard on 100 ron fuel it produces 260 ps at 11.5 psi
you can safely run them at 14.5 psi on optimax without any det problems.
always a good idea to run a knocklink though.
i have seen a few engine failures from cars using superchips as they seem to run far too much boost with no safety fetures at all, not good!
if it was my car i would swap to a Z4 and get rid of the superchip.
