Default Engine mounts ?

Silly question i know but are the engine mountings on a uk turbo 97 very soft the reason i ask is my engine seems to have a fair bit of movement when you rev it. I have checked the mountings they dont seem to be split/broken so was just wondring if they are soft with plenty of engine movement?

Cheers for any help

Yes, if they are like the JDM ones they have soft rubber and small mountings on each side, best to replace with STi mounts which are harder and have larger contact area ... really good IMHO and not too dear .

You may notice a slight increase in vibration / harshness, but as these are what STi's use it's not bad at all!

Do the gearbox mount with STi item too, really good as original on JDM WRX was very soft and huge void in rubber..
